Design and implementation of DTU remote signaling and remote control unit based on ARM

As people’s requirements for power quality are getting higher and higher, the power supply reliability of distribution networks has received great attention. The distribution terminal DTU of the switching station is an important part of the distribution network system. The remote signaling and remote control unit of the DTU realizes the real-time monitoring function of the operating equipment in the distribution system. The reliability of the remote signaling and remote control directly affects the quality of power energy. However, during the operation of the power grid, false alarms of remote signaling and malfunction of remote control often occur, which will bring us direct economic losses and may even cause huge power accidents. In order to solve the above problems, this article proposes the design of DTU remote signaling and remote control unit based on ARM.

The paper first conducts research on the remote signaling and remote control technology of DTU, and determines the specific design goals and functional requirements. After completing the overall design of the remote signaling and remote control unit and the division of software and hardware, the specific software and hardware design and implementation are then carried out. The hardware design adopts a multi-board design, including a CPU board, a remote signaling and remote control board, and an LCD panel. The remote signaling and remote control board can be hot-swapped and flexibly configured to meet different power distribution occasions. The CPU board uses the i.MX287 processor based on the ARM9 core, and the remote control board and LCD panel use the 32-bit chip STM32F103VE processor based on the ARMv7 architecture, which has fast speed, high precision and good stability. The remote signaling and remote control loop adopts two-level isolation, which is more resistant to interference. The software design adopts a modular design solution, including the software design of the CPU board, remote signaling and remote control board, and LCD board. The entire software design utilizes embedded development technology, remote signaling technology, remote control technology and other technologies. In accordance with the IEC60870-5-101 power protocol, multi-thread programming ideas are adopted based on asynchronous serial port communication and CAN communication to realize remote signaling. , remote control, SOE, data storage and upload, system time synchronization, display and communication and other power distribution monitoring functions. After completing the entire design, the function of the remote signaling and remote control unit was tested. The test results showed that the design of the remote signaling and remote control unit met the expected goals and had certain application value.

ABSTRACT

As people have more and more high demand of the power quality, the supply reliability of power distribution network attracts more and more attention. DTU is the important component of distribution network, its teleindication unit and telecommand unit completereal-time monitoring function of running equipment in the power distribution system. Thereliability of teleindication and telecommand directly influences the power quality. However, during power grid operation period, teleindication often appears false alarm and telecommand often appears maloperation. These will bring us the direct economic losses and even may lead to huge power accidents. In In order to solve the above problems, this paper puts forward the design of DTU teleindication and telecommand unit based on ARM.

First of all, this paper studies DTU teleindication and telecommand technology, confirming specific design aim and functional requirement. After completing the wholedesign of teleindication and telecommand unit and the partition of soft-hardware, the specificsoft-hardware design and implementation are elaborated. The hardware design adopts multiple boards’ solution, including CPU board, teleindication and telecommand board, LCDboard. Teleindication and telecommand board is hot-plugging and configures flexibly. It can meet the different requirements of power distribution occasions. CPU board uses i.MX287processor based on ARM9 core. LCD board and teleindication and telecommand board use ARMv7 architecture’s 32-bit STM32F103VE processor. Multi processor has thecharacteristics of fast response speed, high accuracy and good stability. The teleindication andtelecommand’s circuit uses two stage isolated optocoupler to improve counter-jammingperformance. Software design uses modularized scheme, including software design of CPUboard, teleindication and telecommand board, LCD board. The whole software design adopts the development of embedded technology, teleindication technology, telecommand technology etc. According to IEC60870-5-101 power protocol, using the idea of ​​multi-threaded programming Based on asynchronous serial communication and CANcommunication, finally realize the distribution monitoring functions, such as teleindication, telecommand, SOE, data conservation and uploading, time setting, display and communication and so on.

At last, completing the whole design of the soft-hardware and testing teleindication andtelecommand unit’s functions. The test results show that the design of teleindication andtelecommand unit meets the desired goal and has a certain application value.
