Is it really unavoidable?
Take this accident as an example. When a liquefied gas leak occurred, the store staff noticed it and instead of taking correct emergency measures, they even used an extremely crude method – directly “changing the valve”, which led to the tragedy.
You should know that liquefied gas is a kind of flammable and explosive goods with high density. The main components are propane, butane and butene. The gas is highly flammable. Although it is non-toxic, after leakage, it will form a concentration in the air. It will cause suffocation and death; the concentration in the air reaches 1.5%-9.5%, and it will cause explosion when encountering heat source, fire source and electromagnetic wave.
After discovering a gas leak, the manager of this restaurant carried out repairs without authorization by thinking of repairing furniture or general electrical appliances. This is a very dangerous behavior and lacks safety common sense.
The correct disposal method is to stop operations as soon as possible, immediately cover the gas tank outlet with a wet towel, quickly take the gas tank to an empty place (or open the windows for ventilation), and organize the evacuation of personnel.
