Design of data transmission program for pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring system based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. The method first solves the conflict problem between the temperature and humidity information collection of the monitored object and the distributed multi-tag data reading, and then solves the data transmission and communication problem from the sensor to the central server through the reader/writer and vehicle-mounted GPRS module. Results Based on the UDP network transmission protocol platform, the CRC check code and anti-collision algorithm communication interface program was designed and developed. Conclusion The real-time, completeness and accuracy of data collection and transmission have been achieved, laying a foundation for further development of the cold chain monitoring system.

Drug safety is related to human health and life safety. For biological drugs such as plasma and vaccines, it is required to strictly ensure 2 to 8 benefits of cold chain management in all aspects from production, packaging, warehousing, logistics to distributors, hospitals, etc. [1]. The traditional method of manually testing the temperature and humidity of the logistics environment can no longer meet the safety requirements for drug use. As the Internet of Things technology is included in my country’s “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for key development strategies [2], RFID-based pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring technology has become an important topic in the field of Internet of Things applications [3-6]. RFID-based pharmaceutical cold chain The monitoring system includes three levels: perception, transmission and monitoring of temperature and humidity information. Among them, the conflict between the collection of drug temperature and humidity information and the reading of distributed multi-tag data must first be solved, and then the problem of data transmission from the sensor to the reader and writer must be solved. The problem of secure data transmission and communication from the vehicle-mounted GPRS module to the central server. To this end, based on the UDP network communication protocol, a data reading and transmission interface program is designed and developed to achieve real-time collection and accurate transmission of data.

1 Overall design of pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring system

The pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring and information management system includes two parts: the pharmaceutical intelligent information management system and the pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring system. The system hardware topology is shown in Figure 1. The pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring system realizes the collection and processing of temperature and humidity data. It has 3 functions including time history display and playback, real-time temperature and humidity monitoring and alarm. This article mainly focuses on the design of data collection and transmission during the pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring process.

The data collection and transmission of the pharmaceutical cold chain monitoring system are mainly implemented by RFID readers and RFID temperature and humidity tags. The RFID temperature and humidity tag is composed of an RFID active tag and a temperature and humidity sensor integrated together [7]. The data flow during the data collection and transmission process of the cold chain monitoring system is shown in Figure 2. After the temperature and humidity sensor obtains the temperature and humidity data, the active RFID tag actively uploads the data to the RFID reader through the UDP communication protocol, and the reader then uses the vehicle-mounted The GPRS module is transmitted to the monitoring system to realize the data collection and transmission process.
