It is accelerating into a new stage of development of digital empowerment, institutional reshaping, global transformation, and safe operation. It has become a decisive factor for cities. important variables for energy level and overall competitiveness.
Currently, the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Government are taking the construction of Smart Chengdu as a guide to accelerate the creation of smart epidemic prevention, transportation, ecological and environmental protection and other application scenarios, and continuously improve the city’s public services, public safety, and public management capabilities. Adhere to a problem-oriented approach, focus on key links and key issues in city operation, strengthen data analysis, promote information sharing, build a smart governance system that extends from the horizontal to the edge and vertically to the end, and promote agile and scientific governance.
According to the seven major links of the smart city industry proposed by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, namely top-level design, standards and specifications, infrastructure, smart hub, smart applications, operational services, and network security, relevant surveys found that there are 210 active technology companies in Chengdu . The distribution of enterprises has a dumbbell-shaped situation in which they are strong at both ends and weak in the middle. They are relatively mature in the upstream infrastructure field and downstream smart application fields, but are relatively weak in smart center and operational services.
In terms of fields, Chengdu has developed relatively well in the field of smart applications, with 98 related companies, 49 of which are located in the High-tech Zone and 20 in Wuhou District; followed by the infrastructure field, there are 65 related companies, including 37 are located in high-tech zones.
In addition, Chengdu is still in its infancy in the field of smart hubs and has a large space for development. There are 19 related companies, 12 of which are located in high-tech zones. It is worth mentioning that there are 27 cybersecurity-related companies in Chengdu. Although the number of companies is not large, their capabilities are relatively high and they have unique advantages.
