Serial data can be sent continuously, while Ethernet data is sent in packets. This is related to the issue of how long the serial port data is packaged and sent as an Ethernet data packet.

Data packet length: The longest Ethernet data packet is more than 1500 bytes, so after the serial port to network port transponder receives 1500 bytes, it must be packaged and sent. Users can set the upper limit of this packet length.

Packet interval: In addition to the data packet length as the serial port framing rule, a more logical method is through the data packet interval. When the serial port to TCP IP transponder finds an idle time of T milliseconds in the serial port data stream, it is considered that the previously received serial port data can be sent as an Ethernet data packet. T here is the packet interval set by the user.
