On February 21, the 2019 Industrial Internet Summit opened in Beijing. Miao Wei, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the opening ceremony that the construction of my country’s industrial Internet system is advancing in all directions, and the narrowband Internet of Things has achieved full coverage in areas above the county level. The ecological construction of industrial alliances has shown multi-level advancement, with the number of members exceeding 1,000.

Miao Wei pointed out that in recent years, the development of my country’s industrial Internet has accelerated, moving from the popularization of concepts to the stage of taking root in practice. The Industrial Internet has been widely used in industries such as petroleum and petrochemicals, steel and metallurgy, home appliances and clothing, machinery, and energy. New models and new business formats such as networked collaboration, service-oriented manufacturing, and personalized customization are booming, helping companies improve quality and benefits and continuously generate new growth points.

Up to now, my country’s narrowband Internet of Things has achieved full coverage in areas above the county level. The total number of domestic industrial Internet platforms with certain industry and regional influence has exceeded 50, and the average number of devices connected to key platforms has reached 590,000. The number of members of the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance has exceeded 1,000, and it has carried out in-depth cooperation with industrial organizations in the United States, Europe and Japan in terms of technological innovation and standard docking. These have led to in-depth collaborative breakthroughs among enterprises in cross-border industries.

The Industrial Internet is the product of the deep integration of the industrial system and the Internet system under the digital wave, and is a key support for the new round of industrial revolution. The current good start in the development of the industrial Internet is hard-won. To promote the rapid, healthy and orderly development of the industrial Internet, five aspects of work need to be done: first, strengthen technological innovation and cultivate lasting power; second, improve the three major systems and conserve the industrial ecology. ; The third is to adhere to demand orientation and promote coordinated development; the fourth is to enrich resource elements and build a solid foundation for the industry; the fifth is to deepen international cooperation and expand development space.
