On April 19, 2018, the Tianfu Internet of Things Lecture Hall was held in Room 207 of Zhongxiao Building. This was also the first stop of Tianfu Internet of Things Lecture Hall’s 2018 campus tour. This lecture was explained by General Manager Hu Tao, representative of the Chengdu Internet of Things Industry Alliance. Present at the lecture were Luo Fuqiang, Vice President of the School of Electronic Information, Yang Xingwu, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Electronic Information, counselors of all grades, and some majors in the School of Electronics Teachers and classmates from various colleges. This lecture aims to promote and promote the development of Internet of Things technology in Sichuan Province and share personal successful experiences with students.
The first part of the lecture was delivered by Vice President Luo Fuqiang. Vice President Luo first expressed his affirmation of the Internet of Things major of our school, and then pointed out the importance of talent training and school-enterprise cooperation. In the second part of the lecture, General Manager Hu Tao explained and shared the Internet of Things industry. First of all, General Manager Hu Tao introduced what is the Internet of Things and the development trend of the Internet of Things. He believes that the core of the Internet of Things is industry, which includes many aspects of technology. The global layout of the Internet of Things has been rapidly unfolding. Compared with 2G, 3G and 4G technologies used to solve communication problems between people, the Internet of Things has the advantages of large connections, low power consumption and low cost, and has huge potential for commercial blue ocean.
Then, General Manager Hu Tao systematically analyzed the Internet of Things access technology. He introduced in detail the NB-loT and LoRa technologies that are developing rapidly in China, demonstrated the breakthroughs and performance of the two technologies, and compared the two technology industry chains. Then, General Manager Hu Tao introduced the typical applications of the Internet of Things, including smart meter reading, location tracking, automatic fire alarm, smart agriculture, safe cities, industrial Internet of Things, unmanned supermarkets, ofo shared bicycles, shared charging columns and smart homes. Waiting for a series of advanced applications, the huge value of the Internet of Things is reflected in these applications. In the third item of the lecture, Vice Dean Luo Fuqiang communicated with General Manager Hu Tao on issues related to student employment. General Manager Hu Tao made some suggestions for current students. We should implement knowledge to specific technical levels and start from our own Based on the situation, choose the specific technology that suits you, read more books, and set life goals. At the same time, General Manager Hu Tao also said that when selecting talents, he values candidates’ learning ability and attitude more than their understanding of technology. Finally, Vice President Luo Fuqiang said that we should connect the courses with industries and companies, be aware of our responsibilities, and prevent ourselves from getting lost in the classroom.
